Alexandre

Senior Environmental Manager
Paracatu, Brazil

I joined Kinross Paracatu in 2012 and have had the opportunity to work in the Sustainability, Operations and Utilities departments, which eventually led me to my current position as the Senior Environmental Manager at Paracatu. Working at Kinross has allowed me to align my personal values with corporate values, which has helped me to excel and become a successful team leader.

Ann

Mill Supervisor
Round Mountain, Nevada

Over my career at Round Mountain, I have been able to work with some amazing people who have given me the skills and resources to prioritize safety every day. Working at Kinross has taught me how to put the safety culture we preach into action and, as a result, make Round Mountain a safe place to work.

Ellen

Underground Mine Controller
Chirano, Ghana

I joined Kinross in 2014 as an Underground Mine Controller and progressed to become the first female miner rescuer at Chirano in 2020. I am now training to become a shift boss, and hope to become a Mine Captain and Underground Mine Manager. As a female in a male dominated industry, my career progression could have been challenging, but due to the opportunities and structured career path provided by Kinross, these have become attainable goals and with Kinross’ support I believe I will achieve them.

Mohamed

Strategic Business Planning Superintendent
Tasiast, Mauritania

Kinross has given me the opportunity to gain experience in both Russia and Brazil through the Generation Gold program. The program allowed me to further my knowledge in the mining industry by gaining exposure with both underground mining and strategic business planning. At the end of the program, I returned to Tasiast where I now manage the process, integration and communication of the site’s strategic business planning department.

Levi

Mine Operations Supervisor
Bald Mountain, Nevada

Kinross has helped me further my career by gaining exposure and training in a variety of disciplines. I was able to work on a six-month rotation in 2019 that exposed me to the mine operations department where I was eventually offered a full-time role and became a mine operations supervisor.

Sarah

Mill Operations General Foreman
Fort Knox, Alaska

As a graduate of the Generation Gold program, I was given the opportunity to travel across various global environments to develop my skills and experience in the mining industry. Kinross’ diverse portfolio of assets allowed me to challenge myself to expand my horizons from both an operational and cultural point of view while working with exceptional people across the world.
