Over my career at Round Mountain, I have been able to work with some amazing people who have given me the skills and resources to prioritize safety every day. Working at Kinross has taught me how to put the safety culture we preach into action and, as a result, make Round Mountain a safe place to work.

Kinross has given me the opportunity to gain experience in both Russia and Brazil through the Generation Gold program. The program allowed me to further my knowledge in the mining industry by gaining exposure with both underground mining and strategic business planning. At the end of the program, I returned to Tasiast where I now manage the process, integration and communication of the site’s strategic business planning department.

Kinross has helped me further my career by gaining exposure and training in a variety of disciplines. I was able to work on a six-month rotation in 2019 that exposed me to the mine operations department where I was eventually offered a full-time role and became a mine operations supervisor.

As a graduate of the Generation Gold program, I was given the opportunity to travel across various global environments to develop my skills and experience in the mining industry. Kinross’ diverse portfolio of assets allowed me to challenge myself to expand my horizons from both an operational and cultural point of view while working with exceptional people across the world.

I began my career with Kinross in the Generation Gold program, which gave me the ability to work across our global operations, eventually returning to La Coipa in 2019 to work on the Phase 7 Restart project. Gaining global exposure across the Company taught me a lot, most importantly how Kinross’ people first culture is engrained across the world, from Alaska to Mauritania, we all share a common goal.

I transitioned to Kinross in February 2022 as part of the acquisition of Great Bear Resources. Since joining the Company, I have experienced a culture of teamwork, collaboration and a commitment to responsible mining, all of which I believe will be instrumental in helping us build a team that will work together to develop Great Bear into a world-class operation.
