On December 6th, Kinross Nevada celebrated ‘Miners Day’ – a significant observance day in the United States to honour the hard work and dedication of professionals in the mining industry. The day serves as an opportunity to recognize the risks and challenges associated with the industry, and the safety standards put in place to prevent potential hazards. Miners Day is a moment to reflect on the accomplishments of the industry, and the people playing a significant role in extracting essential resources from the earth.
At Round Mountain, the team celebrated with two dinners to recognize all employees across shifts and rotations. The celebrations were recognized by the management team who attended each dinner to show their appreciation for employees and to thank them for their hard work and commitment to Kinross.
