This summer, Kinross Nevada was excited to team up with the Nevada Mining Association (NvMA) to sponsor The Discovery museum’s Mining Mavens ‘EMPOW(HER)’ series in Reno.

The series provides young women with a hands-on introduction to the mining industry by connecting them with women working in the industry. Participants explore the mining process from exploration through reclamation. They have the opportunity to ask questions and learn about various career opportunities and the educational qualifications needed to pursue a career in mining.
