Kinross was recently recognized by Trout Unlimited (TU) for its commitment to corporate responsibility and received the non-profit environmental organization’s 2019 Corporate Conservation Award, the first mining company to do so.

J. Paul Rollinson, President and CEO, accepted the award from Chris Wood, Trout Unlimited President and CEO, at the organization’s annual meeting in Arkansas.

“Kinross has shown a committed corporate responsibility to our conservation efforts and a strong desire to make the communities where they work better places,” said Chris. “They are a true partner in every sense of the word, and it was an honour to recognize their efforts with this award.”

Kinross has partnered with Trout Unlimited on numerous projects over the years including a water rights donation representing 3 billion gallons of water to protect fish habitat in the Yellowstone River.

Kinross and Trout Unlimited have also partnered for the TU Nevada Youth Fly Fishing Camp and Fly Fishing Film Tour in Elko, Nevada and the Armed Service Appreciation Fly-Fishing Trip in Alaska.
