David Shaver was appointed to the role of Senior Vice-President, Investor Relations and Communications in February 2025. David joined Kinross in 2021 as Senior Vice-President, Corporate Development, and oversaw the acquisition of Great Bear Resources, as well as the divestitures of our Chirano and Russian assets in 2022. In 2024, David assumed leadership of the Investor Relations and Communications functions where he is responsible for making entry into new potential investor markets and overseeing the communications and marketing strategy for the Company.

David has more than 20 years of investment banking experience in the global mining and metals sector, including most recently as a Managing Director, Investment Banking, Global Mining and Metals at CIBC Capital Markets.

David holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Queen’s University and a Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario.
