Executive Vice President, Strategic Development
Hugh A. Agro joined Kinross in
April 2005 as Vice President, Corporate Development and
he was appointed Senior Vice President, Strategic
Development in August 2007, expanding his role to also
include responsibility for exploration, as part of
Kinross’ growth strategy. In March 2008, Mr. Agro was
appointed Executive Vice President, Strategic
Development. Previously he was Vice President, Corporate
Development with Placer Dome Canada. Prior to that, he
was a Principal with Senator Capital Partners, a
boutique merchant banking partnership and a Vice
President, Investment Banking with Deutsche Bank’s
Global Metals and Mining Group.
Mr. Agro is a Professional Mining
Engineer and holds an MBA in Finance (University of
British Columbia and London Business School) and a B.Sc.
(Honors) in Mining Engineering (Queen’s University).
