Building Relationships
Our stakeholders represent a broad and varied community,
embracing all those who are affected by the actions Kinross takes,
or who can affect Kinross by their actions. Engagement with that
broad community comprises a major part of our day-to-day activities
and takes many different forms - from formal presentations to
investors, to consultations with a non-governmental organization
(NGO), to regular meetings with community stakeholders, to
one-on-one conversations with our neighbours. Engagement with our
stakeholders begins during exploration and continues through the
life of our operations, including mine closure. Through open and
transparent engagement with our stakeholders we seek to build
cooperative relationships based on mutual respect and
honesty.
